I am a hoarder when it comes to makeup, I only throw things away if they’re out of date or empty. I thought I’d share my complete makeup collection with you, as I know that I absolutely love to read/watch these! I know that my collection isn’t big and I’m not showing off, I’m just sharing everything that I have and love. SO here goes…
I only have one primer which is the L’Oreal Infallibe Priming Base. It is a silicone primer, which is my favourite kind. I love this so much, a good primer is a must in my skincare/makeup routine. This is why I tend to only have one in my collection as I like to find a good one then rebuy it as and when I need to. As you may tell from this picture, I’m getting close to needing to rebuy this, it’s a good job it’s my birthday coming up (hint hint, Mum!)
At the moment, the foundation that I’m using on a day to day basis is the Bourjois Healthy Mix in Light Vanilla (far right). It is incredible, I have quite good skin so don’t really need a full coverage foundation but I do like to have a good base so my freckles and redness is hidden well away and this foundation gives me such a good base to work on.
The No7 Stay Perect in the shade Calico used to be a fave (it was in my Go-To Makeup post, which I definitely need to do an updated version of!). Although I still like to use it from time to time, it is no longer my go to but a suitable back up. The shade of this foundation is a perfect match to my skin, I got it matched at a No7 counter in Boots so I do like to wear this if I’m going for a more natural look or a no-makeup, makeup look.
The Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in 100 Ivory, is another amazing foundation however it is quite full coverage whenever I do use it which doesn’t suit me for a day to day look. If my skin is being a nightmare this is my holy grail, it does make you look very healthy and flawless.
I really did not rate the L’Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contouring Base foundation, which I have in 01 Light. It provides a very light coverage but the colour is very orangey and unless I blend like my life depends on it, I cannot make it work. It’s also a very liquidy foundation, like watery, it comes out very messily hence the disgusting state of the lid (which I probably should have cleaned before taking the photo, oops). The only reason that I still have this is because I use it when ever my nieces want me to do their makeup or want to do mine.
I have a mini bottle of the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation in 010 Beige Porcelaine. This foundation is amazing, this is the second sample bottle that I have used as I emptied the other one. The coverage is perfect, it feels amazing on the skin and it even smells gorgeous!! If it wasn’t so expensive, I’d buy the full sized bottle but I’d have to really think about it as there are some amazing drugstore foundations out there.
I also have a mini bottle of the Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow which is sadly in the wrong shade for me, I have it in “Cheers to me” Champagne. It is slightly too dark which is disappointing considering I got it in the Benefit How To Look The Best At Everything gift set in Light, which I have received two of.
My favourite concealer at the moment, and probably ever, is the Maybelline Age Rewind Eye Concealer in Light. This has been a game changer for me, I had refused to give in to the hype but I am so glad that I did. It covers my dark circles and really brightens the under eye area flawlessly. I will forever rebuy this and highly recommend it if you haven’t tried it yet.
This is another amazing but underrated concealer, it is the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in Light. This is so brightening, I just love it, for so long this was my go to concealer. It sits so nice on top of the Healthy Mix foundation, the pair make such a nice flawless, brightening base.
The Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer paired with the foundation makes you look so healthy and bright. It is so close to being empty, which I’m dreading as even though I don’t use it very often I like it to be there *just in case*. I have this in 010 Ivory, which is the lightest as I like my concealer to be very brightening for the under eye area.
I cannot stress how good the Benefit Boi-ing Concealer is for covering spots or blemishes. It is literally the best for hiding them. However, this concealer does not work for my under eye area. Although it is thick and provides a full coverage, it clumps up under my eye and doesn’t sit right ontop of my foundation in that area at all. I just adore this for covering up my spots though, I use the shade 01 but sometimes use 02, depending on where abouts the blemish is. I also got this in the Benefit set, so I have a backup for this.
My go to powder is the Rimmel Stay Matte in 001 Trasparent. This provides a little extra bit of coverage but for me I use it to bring my base together before I apply any other products.
I also have the Max Factor Creme Puff Pressed Powder, which is in the shade 05 Translucent, which it really isn’t. The powder couldn’t be further from transparent, the main reason I no longer use it is because it gives my base an orangey tint, which nobody needs.
- Anti Shine Balm
This is the Makeup Revolution Anti Shine Balm which I hadn’t used until recently. This is because my skin has only become oily recently which can sometimes make my forehead and nose look shiny through my makeup. This really counteracts that, I apply it to those shiny areas after my primer and before my foundation and I can see a difference throughout the day.
I love a good bronzer. My favourite being the Bourjois Mat Illusion Bronzing Powder in Hale Clair. This is such an amazing bronzer, the colour really suits my skin tone but it’s sadly cracked which breaks my heart. I don’t think I’d rebuy it though. The other large, round bronzer is a Collection Mosaic Bronze Glow, this is a really nice shimmery bronzer which looks really nice with a tan during the summer.
The smaller product is the Makeup Revolution bronzer, which doesn’t have a shade on the packaging. I haven’t actually used this as a bronzer but it works really nice as an eyeshadow for the crease and on the lash line. I should probably try using it for what it’s meant to be used for before I can assess it’s quality.
The bronzer in the box packaging is the Bourjois Délice de Poudre Bronzing Powder & Highlighter. This is such a gorgeous product, the bronzer is as amazing as the other Bourjois one. The highlight is very subtle but is good for a more natural makeup look.
- Contouring Kit
This is something that I only have one of because I’m rubbish at using it and that is contouring. The kit that I have is the L’Oreal Infallible Sculpt in 01 Light/Medium. I can’t really judge the quality of this product as I can’t really use it for it’s purpose but I think it’s quite good. Sorry for that rubbish judgement, haha.
My go to blusher at the moment isn’t any of these actually! It’s a mixture of the three from the Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar palette. Although all of these blushers are amazing!
The Benefit blusher is Coralista, which come in a gift set. This provides such a nice glow as well as adding colour, I really like the peachy undertones which really show up on my cheeks. I wouldn’t buy the full size version of this as it isn’t my go to but I do like to use it from time to time.
There’s two Makeup Revolution baked blushers there, the far left one being ‘Bang Bang You’re Dead’ which is a very ‘in your face’ pink, which doesn’t really suit my skin tone. Whereas, the blush on the far right which is in the shade ‘Hard Day’ really suits me, it’s very glowly and gives a nice shine to my cheeks.
The blusher in the middle is a No7 blusher in the shade ‘Natural Blush’ which is really fitting as that is what it is exactly. It provides a really natural pink tone to the cheeks. However, sometimes I find you can’t tell you’ve applied it, which I don’t like at all, as without blush I can look completely washed out, which isn’t a good look.
Above the No7 blusher is the rectangular Barry M blush in ‘Make Me Blush’, which is another really natural looking blush. It is a nice shade of pink though, a bit stronger than the No7 but not quite as strong as the Makeup Revolution one.
Lastly, the square blusher in the top right corner is a Collection Gorgeous Glow Blush Block in 1. This is my favourite of all of these, the colours mixed together make a really nice, wearable shade, which is both pink and glowy.
The two larger highlighters are both Vivid Baked Highlighters from Makeup Revolution. The pink/red highlighter is in the shade Rose Gold, I haven’t used this yet and definitely need to experiment with it soon. The other is in Golden Lights and is one of my all time favourites, I live for that glow.
The other two smaller products are also by Makeup Revolution. You’ll be able to tell which one is the baked highlighter which sadly doesn’t have a shade name on it although it is very similar to Golden Lights. The bottom one is a Strobe Balm which I don’t really use anymore, it was too much effort to make it work.
On the left is the Collection Speedy Highlighter in Pearl Sheen. This is so quick and easy to use but also provides such a nice glow, I need to use this product more often because it requires such minimal blending. On the right is a Liquid Highlighter from Makeup Revolution which doesn’t have a shade, I’ve not really used this as I don’t like to mix liquid and powder products, it makes me feel like I’m wearing a lot of makeup and feels heavy on my face.
- Face Palette
This palette is such a gem. I am in love with it and always will be. It is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar. The highlighter is incredible. Those blush shades all mixed together makes a gorgeous colour. The bottom right bronzer is great for making you look sun kissed and the other two bronzey shades work amazing as eye shadows. It’s just amazing and I cannot recommend it enough!
- Eye Primer
I’m the worst for remembering to apply an eye primer! I have two though, the first is the Collection Illuminating & Reviving Eye Primer which is my go to. This really does make a nice base for eyeshadow to ensure it sits nice and lasts all day. On the right is the Makeup Revolution Eye Primer which is quite a thin consistency so I don’t tend to use it.
- Eyeshadow Palette
The top palette is the amazing little No7 Limited Edition Eye Palette in Nude which is so good for everyday use. The colours are so good for a simple eye look, I use this the most just because I play it quite safe with eyeshadow and this palette is perfect for that.
On the left is the Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette, which I love for it’s range of brown and darker shades. The pink and gold shade are also gorgeous but not very pigmented, so if I were to use them I’d spray the brush with setting spray to ensure the colour really pops.
Lastly is the amazing Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, which needs no introduction. This is just gorgeous. Those colours, the pigment, the smell- uhh I love it so much! I try not to use this too much but I cannot help it, it’s just so easy to use. My favourite thing about this palette is the highlighter shade in Champagne Truffle which I use for my cheekbones as well as for the inner corner of my eye. It’s just a dream and is worth every penny.
- Individual Eyeshadows
This is a gem, it’s the Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow in On and On Bronze. SO many people love this and I am one of them. This looks so nice on the lid! I apply it with my finger as I feel like when I use a brush with it I lose some of the pigment.
I have two of Tanya Burr’s Eye Shimmer Pots, the one on the left is in Creme Brûlée and is a gorgeous bronze shade. The other is in Starry Night which is a shimmery blue/grey shade which doesn’t suit me at all.
These are three of the Makeup Revolution Mono Eyeshadows. The darker shade is ‘Velvet Luxe’, it is a shimmery black which is a bit too dark for my light complexion. The red/pink shade is called ‘New Trial Red’, I haven’t used this yet either as I didn’t think I could make it work but I think I’m going to give it a go. This last shade is my favourite and it is the shade ‘Paper Luxe’, this is such a gorgeous shadow to put all over the lid and then on the centre of the lid to highlight. I love and use this shade a lot.
The eyeliner on the left is the Miss Sporty Pump Up Lash Waterproof Liner in Black. I bought this because the youtuber Emily Canham raved about it so much and I regard her opinion so highly. However, I cannot stand the brush to this. The product itself seems really good, it comes out a really dark black so I sometimes use it on top of my other liner to make it a bit darker.
The eyeliner on the right is my go to, it’s the No7 Stay Perfect Liquid Liner, I just find this so much easier to apply. I’m not a massive eyeliner fan as I’m rubbish at applying it but I do like a wing for a special occasion.
The first little bottle is a sample of the Benefit They’re Real Tinted Primer, which is near enough empty. I loved using this but as my eyelashes have got worse I find the more layers of products that I put on them, the worse they look.
The gold mascara is the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast High Definition Collagen Coat. This is so good, I use this all the time at the moment because it really does make my lashes look amazing. It is really lengthening and thickening but is also such a dark black as some mascaras I’ve tried apply such a weak shade of black.
The yellow bottle next to it is the Maybelline Colossal Mascara 100% Black. This is very similar to the Soap and Glory mascara but I think I prefer this one as I really love the shape of the brush. I feel like the way it is shaped makes it brush through my lashes so much better and helps to really lengthen them.
The black bottle is the Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara, although this is really good it isn’t something that I tend to use. It is really lengthening but is also very separating which when you’ve got rubbish lashes isn’t the best look.
Next is the Benefit They’re Real mascara which is the best one out of them all. This is just incredible. I don’t even know what to say except just please try it. I need a new one as mine seems to be drying up.
The smaller bottle is the No7 Dramatic Lift mascara. This isn’t great to be honest, it just didn’t work for my lashes but it may work for someone who has really good natural lashes. Next to that is the Eyeko Skinny Brush mascara, this is so good as a first coat mascara and also for the lower lashes as the brush is so skinny it doesn’t tend to get on your face. The last one is a sample bottle of the Benefit Bad Gal Lash. The brush for this is too thick for me, the shape of it just doesn’t work.
- Brow Pomade/Powder
The product that I use to fill in my brows every day is the Freedom Pro Brow Pomade in Blonde. The colour is perfect for my brows and it has been well used/loved. I do find sometimes that it can dry up but I just wet my brush which usually helps to soften it up.
The Collection Eyebrow Kit in Blonde used to be my go to product for filling in my brows before I discovered the life saver that is brow pomade. The main reason this is so amazing is the gel and mine is literally empty. The colours come in a nice range, I have to mix the first two to get the right colour for my brows.
- Brow Gels
This is something I have far too much of. The first two are both Benefit brow products which I got after they redid the brow line. I love both of these, the Gimme Brow in Light is so good for adding a bit more colour to your baths and the Ready,Set,Brow! is great for making sure they stay in place, which is great when your brows are like mine and have a life of their own.
The middle two are both Maybelline Brow Dramas in Transparent and Dark Blond. These are amazing and use both of them daily, these make sure my brows don’t budge.
The last two are both clear brow gels. The first being the Rimmel Brow This Way, I love the brush for this it is really well shaped for grabbing your brow hairs. But I also adore the Collection Clear Brow Mascara, it’s like magic. Sadly I have no product left in this but like to use the brush as a spoolie before I do my brows.
- Setting Spray
This is the Makeup Revolution Amazing Makeup Fixing Spray. This really does hold your makeup in place all day, which is perfect for someone like me who is constantly touching there face and usually forgets they have makeup on and rubs my eyes. I haven’t tried any other sprays so have nothing to compare it too but I really do love this. Mine is so nearly empty so I may try a different one when I need to rebuy it.
These are both Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liners, I sadly have nothing good to say about these. The quality was so poor, they were quite pricey for drugstore products so it was so disappointing when they turned out to be awful. The shades I have are Pink Petal and Brown n Nude. I need to invest in some good lipliners as I really enjoy using a liner before lipstick.
The pink product is a Bourjois Colour Boost Glossy Finish Lipstick in Peach on the Beach. This isn’t my go to colour as it’s very nice but is more suited to a summer makeup look, especially as it has an SPF 15. The Collection lip butter crayon in Cappuccino which reminds of being at college so much as I used this near enough every day in my first year, it’s such a lovely colour!
These are all Makeup Revolution lipsticks and sadly they don’t have any shades on however I did get these in the advent calendar last year. My favourites are the last two nude ones but the first two darker shades are nice for the Christmas period.
These three are all Rimmel lipsticks. The first is The Only 1 Lipstick in Mauvement, this goes on so amazing it’s so silky and looks gorgeous shine it’s dry. Then there’s the Lasting Finish Lipstick in Nude Pink, I don’t use this much but should do as it’s gorgeous. Last is a Moisture Renew lipstick in Dreamy, this is so moisturising and goes on as such a nice colour.
On the left is an MUA Matte Lipstick in Totally Nude, I highly recommend these lipsticks! They are only about a £1 and are so gorgeous!! Next to that is a mini Clinique Pop Lipstick in Nude Pop which is such an amazing colour, this is nearly empty, I need to invest in a full size version as I love it so much.
These three are Tanya Burr Lip Glosses, the first is a deep red shade in Bewitching which is a gorgeous colour for Autumn. The middle gloss is in Macaroon (the best name ever), this is a nice everyday shade, I love it a lot. These aren’t sticky at all which is why I love them so much. The last is in Candy Frost but is a bit of a nothing shade and doesn’t really show on its own.
The first tube gloss is a Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Extreme Plump, this does sting when you first apply it but it makes your lips look amazing. The middle gloss is a Makeup Revolution Amazing Sheer Lip Gloss, this is a bit of a nothing colour really but can be nice if you want a sheen on your lips. Lastly is the Benefit Dandelion Ultra Plush, I adore this but only use it rarely as it’s only a sample tube.
These two are both glosses by Soap and Glory, the go to brand for lip glosses. The first is quite an old Sexy Mother Pucker in Candy Gloss which is gorgoeus, as is the other which is a lip lacquer in Charm Offensive. The lip lacquer is amazing, the shade looks so good with a brown smokey eye, I love this a lot.
The red gloss is a Max Factor one in Captivating Ruby, this isn’t a shade that I’d use everyday but I do like a darker lip during the Autumnal season, this looks really nice on top of a bold red lipstick. Next is the No7 Gloss Shine, it doesn’t have a shade on it but it’s such a lovely pink, I love this one a lot and is probably my most used gloss. The smaller lip gloss is a Maybelline Colour Elixier in 725 which is Caramel Infused, this is quite like a liquid lipstick which is so nice for a ‘going out’ makeup look.
First on this photo is a Stilla Lip Glaze in Raspberry, this is such a lovely gloss, if you apply it on its own you can’t really tell you’ve put anything on whereas if you apply it on top of lipstick it looks really nice. Next is the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Harmony, I do not like this at all it is so drying and when it is on you can see all the cracks and imperfections on your lips, which isn’t great. This also applies a tad orangey for me also. Next is a Burt’s Bees lipgloss which I can’t tell you anymore about as it’s all rubbed off because I’ve used it so much. This is such a great lipgloss to use on its own and chuck in your handbag to apply throughout the day. Lastly, is a Calvin Klein One Lipgloss in Tender, I love this so much but as it was a tad expensive I tend to save it for special occasions.
I am so sorry that this post was so long, I can’t half blab on when I’m talking about makeup! I hope you enjoyed nevertheless, thank you so much for reading! I’m going to make this post an annual thing so next year I’ll do an updated one as I did really enjoy writing it.
