The Cost Of My Full Face Of Makeup

Makeup adds up. It can so expensive, ridiculously expensive actually. I thought this post would be really fun (although a lot of work) and interesting. So, lets see how much my full face of makeup adds up to…

Primer-Nip+Fab Primer Water £9.95

This is a recent addition to my everyday skincare/makeup routine but I love it. The spray makes it really easy to apply and is so much quicker than using a moisturiser primer.

Foundation-Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation £8.99

I love love love this foundation so so much. I love being able to build up the coverage to suit my skin at the time, I love how healthy it looks on my skin and how light it feels on. Not the biggest fan of the applicator though.

Concealer-Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19

This is the best concealer I’ve ever used, nothing compares to it for me, not even higher end concealers that cost a lot more than this. If you’re new to makeup or looking for a holy grail concealer I cannot recommend this enough!

Powder-Collection Sheer Loose Powder £2.99

This is a product that I’ve only started using recently and I love it. It is in the shade ‘Barley There’ so it isn’t translucent but it gives a nice extra bit of coverage. I pack this under my eyes with a sponge then all over my face with a big fluffy brush. Once I’ve finished my full face makeup, I’ll do a bit of baking with this under my cheekbones.

Contour-Nip+Fab Contour Palette £15

I’ve never been the best at contouring, I eased myself into it using a contouring stick but I’ve finally worked my up to using a palette. I mix the first two contour shades to get the shade that suits my skin tone perfectly. This is a great palette.

Bronzer-Bourjois Bronzing Powder £7.99

I only slightly bronze just to add a bit more of colour to my skin. I love this Bourjois bronzer shade, it isn’t muddy or orange at all.

Blusher-Nip+Fab Blusher Palette £8.95

Some people don’t wear blusher on the daily but I definitely need the colour in my cheeks, otherwise I look a bit washed out and pale. I use the colour in the top right and apply it with a slightly bigger blush brush.

Highlighter-Makeup Revolution Highlighter Golden Lights £3

This highlighter is another of my absolute favourite drugstore products. It is so pigmented and gives such a nice glow. I apply this with a mini fan brush on my cheekbones, nose, forehead and chin. When my makeup is complete I’ll take a smaller brush and apply this under my brow and in the inner corner of my eye.

Eyebrow Pomade-Freedom Brow Pomade £5

This brow pomade makes doing your eyebrows so much easier. I apply this with an angled brush and tend to stick to the natural shape of my brows, maybe adding a bit more product at the tail and front of my brows as that’s where they tend to be a bit more sparse.

Eyebrow Gel-Benefit 24hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel £20

I’ve used a lot of brow gels as my brows are a bit crazy and unless they’re gelled down they’ll move. This is the best one I’ve ever used, although it is on the pricier side it so wroth it if you need your brows to stay put. This is clear, I used to use a coloured one but I find the clear one works better.

Concealer-Benefit Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer £17.50

I love the difference that it makes when I carve out my brows. I always use the Benefit concealer in 01, it tidies them up and makes them look neater and covers up any stray hairs (which I probably have far too many of).

Eye Primer-Collection Illuminating & Reviving Eye Primer £4.99

This is a step that I only use if I’m going out or doing quite a full on eye look. I’ve only ever used this primer so I can’t really compare it to anything but I find this makes my eyeshadow stay put and not crease which is exactly what I want from an eye primer.

Eyeshadow-Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette £39

If you’re going to splurge on any makeup product I think you should splurge on an eyeshadow palette. This was the first high end product that I bought and I adore it. It’s my all time favourite palette, the colours are gorgeous and so pigmented. There are so many different looks you can make with this but I tend to use the browns to darken the lid then may put a glitter shade on the middle of my lid.

Mascara-Soap and Glory Thick and Fast HD Collagen Coat Mascara £10.50 and Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara £10.99

I have got really sparse lashes that need a hella lot of effort to make them work. I curl them first with the rose gold Primark curlers then go in with the Soap and Glory mascara. I feel like this really thickens my lashes and lengthens them. I then go in with the Max Factor mascara which makes such a difference, especially when you’ve got bad lashes.

Simple Makeup Corrector Pen £2.98

I got this for Christmas and was so intrigued by it as I’m so messy with mascara so that it usually ends up all over my face-under my lash line, on my nose and in this case, on my cheekbone. God knows how. This just takes the mascara up without smudging it to cause further mess, I will then go back in with a concealer.

Lipliner-L’oreal Colour Riche Lip Liner £4.99

I love using a lip liner, it just makes sure you perfect the shape of your lips before you go in with a lipstick or gloss. This isn’t a perfect match to the liquid lipstick I’m using but I find that it doesn’t necessarily need to be.

Liquid Lipstick-Nip+Fab Makeup Matte Liquid Lipstick £7.95

My new favourite lip product are liquid lipsticks. Especially Nip+Fab ones. They’re just so easy to apply and are so pigmented.

Setting Spray-Makeup Revolution Setting Spray Pro Fix Oil Control £5

I tend to use this setting spray everyday as it really helps with my oily skin. It also make sure your makeup stays put, which is so important. You can’t go wrong with the Makeup Revolution setting sprays, they’re only £5 and make such a difference.

Final Look

I’m by no means a beauty guru or expert in makeup, I just do what suits me best and that I enjoy doing.

Final Price: £189.96
I could not believe how much all of the products add up to. It doesn’t seem a lot when you buy the products individually at separate times etc. but it doesn’t half add up.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this style of post I’ve never done anything like this before and I really liked shooting and writing it. I’m thinking of doing a face full of my cheapest and most expensive makeup in the future, so let me know if you’re interested in that.
