My Most Expensive Face Of Makeup

I love doing these style of posts and thought it’d be really interesting to do one of my most expensive face of makeup. Makeup adds up like crazy and I feel like this is just going to highlight that and scare me haha. Let’s get into it…

Primer-Rimmel Match Perfection Fix & Perfect Pro Primer £6.99

I love this primer, it is so moisturising and acts as a perfect base for makeup. I never go a day without using primer it’s an essential part of my makeup routine.

Colour Corrector-Rimmel Insta Conceal & Correct Palette £6.49

I actually forgot to colour correct when I was shooting for this post, ahh! If I was to have I would have applied the first peach shade to my under eyes to counteract my dark circles and the green shade on the redness of my skin which is mainly on my cheeks. I love this palette, it’s really handy that it has the selection of the colours and is such a nice consistency.

Foundation-Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation £29

This is the first time that I tried this foundation and as soon as I started distributing it on my face it reminded me of the Bourjois Healthy Mix as that’s also a very yellow toned foundation. It gave me such a nice healthy glow, it didn’t give the highest coverage but gave my skin a nice fresh look although I do prefer a higher coverage, especially on areas like my forehead and nose.

Concealer-Benefit Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer £17.50

I love this concealer for covering blemishes and acting as an eyeshadow base but I do not like it as under the eye concealer. I used the first lightest shade under my eyes and down my nose as it is really brightening but doesn’t give the coverage which I want. I mixed the two shades for my blemishes and they covered them after I built it up.

Powder-Bourjois Balance Unifying Powder £8.99

I love this powder, it gives such a nice coverage and brings together your whole base. I use a smaller brush to pack it under my eyes and set my concealer but use a wider brush for the rest of my face.

Contour-Nip+Fab Contour Palette £7.50

I literally live for this palette. The shades are perfect for my skin and blend out gorgeously. I use a mix of the first two contour shades and the middle banana highlight shade to kind of bake under my cheekbones for a bit of extra definition.

Bronzer- Bourjois Bronzing Powder £7.99

This is the second of these bronzers that I’ve used as I absolutely love them. The shade is perfect for my skin and it blends so nicely and gives such a nice warmth to my skin which is essential during these Winter months when my skill is just dull!

Blusher-Benefit Sugarbomb £24.50

This used to be my absolute favourite blusher ever but I haven’t used it in so long. This is a gorgeous mix of pink and peachy shades, it gives a natural, subtle pink to the cheeks. I’m going to put this in my everyday makeup bag as I definitely don’t use it as much as I’d like too.

Highlighter-The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer Highlighter £16

I received this for Christmas and tend to save it for days when I want this natural, dewy glow. It gives such a stunning glow but there are definitely more pigmented highlighters out there in the drugstore for cheaper.

Brows-Freedom Brow Pomade £5

I’ve sadly lost the lid to this so I’m waiting for it to dry up any day sadly! I adore this, it is perfect for filling in your brows and giving it the perfect shape even in areas that are sparse which I find powders don’t do.

Brow Gel-Benefit 24-hour Brow Setter Clear Gel £20

This is my all time favourite brow gel, it has an insane staying power and makes my brows feel really secure. I am so particular when it comes to my brow gels thanks to my crazy brows and this is the one that I’d pick to use everyday.

Eye Primer-Collection Illuminating & Reviving Eyeshadow Primer £4.99

As I’ve mentioned in the past this is the only eye primer that I’ve used and I absolutely love it. I do find it really illuminating and my eye shadow never creases and stays all day. Until I try a high end eye primer I can’t compare this to anything!

Eyeshadow Palette-Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette £39.50

I love using this palette for really subtle pinky/grey/metallic looks. You can build looks up with the darker shades which I did in my crease and in my lower lash line. A lot of people don’t rate this palette but I really like it.

Mascara-Benefit They’re Real £20.50 and Bad Gal Lash £18.50

I have to use two mascaras to make my eyelashes work as they’re so non existent! They’re Real isn’t very dark but is really separating and lengthening whereas Bad Gal Lash is very black and perfects my lashes.

Lip Liner-L’oreal Colour Riche Lip Liner £4.99

I love this lip liner, it is a very hot pink but creates such a nice ombre but can also be blended in to suit any lip shade.

Lipstick-Kat Von D Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick £17

The Kat Von D lipstick is the most expensive lipstick that I own however it didn’t suit the makeup look that I created with the other products so I decided not to use it. I instead opted for the Lottie London liquid lipstick which is a really nice nude pink, I blended it into the liner to create a subtle ombre.

Setting Spray-Makeup Revolution Setting Spray Pro Fix Oil Control £5

I love this setting spray, it’s oil controlling which my skin desperately needs and sets my makeup perfectly.

Total Cost-£260.44

This was the final look, I definitely think that it looks better than the cheaper one, I actually really love the photos as well. It is so expensive though, I think that price is extortionate and that even includes some drugstore products!

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it!

  1. You look beautiful! (Of course, you also looked amazing before all the make-up!) I feel like I am behind the curve when it comes to make-up as I never started wearing it until recently. Seeing posts like these really help me figure out how it all works together. thanks!
