Harley Street Skin Care Review

I was very lucky enough to be sent some skincare bits from the brand Harley Street. I thought I’d review them in this post for you all, I love my skincare you can find all my other skincare posts here.

Exfoliating Cleanser

I was really intrigued by this product as I love a good cleanser as you’ll know if you’ve read my blog for a while. But also it’s an exfoliating cleanser, I love products that gently exfoliate the skin as some exfoliators can be really harsh on the skin and can put you right off them. This has ‘clear skin technology’ in it which appeals to me massively as I always worry about my skin as it isn’t very clear at the moment (bad diet, not enough water and stress/anxiety because did I mention I have a new job??).

I had a full face of makeup on to put this to the test, I dampened my skin with some warm water as advised on the bottle then applied pea size amounts of the cleanser onto my cheeks, forehead and nose. With this product I found a little goes a long way and what I applied was more than enough! It worked into a really nice lather and when I was  scrubbing my skin with it I could feel the exfoliating beads in it. After massaging my face with it for a couple of minutes I took a wet flannel and rinsed it off. My skin felt really fresh and clean, I didn’t have to double cleanse which was like revolutionary as I am the queen of double and triple cleansing!

Overall, I am really pleased with this and will definitely be using it regularly. I love the consistency of it and how it makes my skin feels afterwards. It took my makeup off with ease leaving my skin feeling so fresh and clean. This was a winner!

Anytime Moisture Surge SPF20

As soon as I saw ‘SPF20’ on the bottle I knew that I’d love this, I go weak at the knees for a moisturiser with an SPF in it, it makes me feel like my skin is being that little bit more protected. I always use a moisturiser every morning before my primer and evening after my serum, it makes my skin feel really hydrated and like I’m doing a good job looking after it.

I really like the consistency of this, it’s a very creamy moisturiser which is my go to for making my skin feel really moisturised and quenched (weird choice of word, sorry). I really liked this it did it’s job well and sat nice under my makeup and made my skin feel really nice. However I have a bit of confusion with this as it advises on the bottle to follow this with moisturiser? I don’t know if this is a printing error or if this isn’t a moisturiser itself?

Overall, I’m not too sure about what the product actually is after the confusion with the label but I really enjoy the product itself and will reach for it every now and again.

Restorative Miracle Serum

I’ve really got into using serums this year, my favourite is the Superdrug Calm Skin one but I’m always looking out for a new one to come into my collection (speaking of collections, I have a full post about my skincare collection here).

I used this before I applied my moisturiser in the evening, I feel like serums don’t sit too well under my makeup which is why I only tend to use them in the evenings or on no makeup days. I really liked the consistency of the serum, it was moisturising and wasn’t too heavy or clogging on my skin.

Overall, I’m really pleased with this serum and will reach for it quite a lot.

Pore Minimising Mask

I LOVE face masks. I rely so much on face masks to clear my skin up and work miracles. There are some incredible ones out there, especially in the drugstores! This one is a pore minimising mask which I was so excited to try as I’m struggling with quite bad pores at the moment. The bottle advises to leave this on for ten minutes which is a decent amount of time, I’m fussy with how long I keep face masks on for, I hate three minutes one and detest 25 minutes one! The 10-15 minute mark is perfect for me.

I was quite shocked when I pumped some of this out as it looked like a moisturiser with that consistency. I applied an even layer on my face with a little bit more on my forehead and cheeks which is where I struggle with pores most. It settled onto my skin well, it wasn’t heavy and felt comfortable on my face. I washed it off after just over 10 minutes and my skin felt fresh and clean. I haven’t noticed any drastic changes to my pores but it made my skin feel amazing and I think it reduced the appearance of my blemishes, especially the harsh ones on my forehead.

Overall, I enjoyed this face mask it made my skin feel amazing and made a difference to my blemishes. I suppose you’d have to use this regularly to see a difference pore-wise but I will definitely use this a lot!

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it, I really love doing posts about skincare! Also thank you to Harley Street for sending me out these products, I’m very grateful!
