My life has changed so much over the past month and a half, 10000% for the better. In this post I’m going to talk about my life at the moment from my job to my personal life to my mental health to my blog-you’re getting it allll today. I’m also going to share some of the things that I’m loving at the moment as I didn’t do a monthly favourites for March. So, let’s get into it…
At the beginning of March I had training for my job to become a support worker. That week put me into a routine that I’m still in and needed so much. I started to get up early in the morning and go to bed at a decent time, I was eating my three meals at the right times and I was SO happy. Before I started my training and job, after leaving uni, my life was a bit weird I felt like I was floating in I didn’t seem to have anything to do, apart from blog. So when I started training and I was out of the house all day learning and making a step forward in becoming the person that I wanted to be.
I started my job as a support worker just over a month ago now and I can’t imagine myself doing anything else now. It was quite hard adjusting to it in the beginning as sometimes it’s very long hours and can be really draining, it’s also a lot of driving as I’m currently based about 20-30 minutes away from where I live. But it is the most rewarding thing ever and I absolutely love it, I wouldn’t change it for the world.
I completely underestimated how difficult it is to juggle a blog with a full time job. My list of priorities has rejigged completely, that’s not to say blogging isn’t a priority anymore it really is, it’s just lower down in my list now. My job, family and my health and wellbeing come first. As soon as I have a few hours off or even a day off I make plans with my family and with my boyfriend, if I have spare time after that I blog. That won’t be changing anytime soon, I’m still going to blog as and when I can but it isn’t going to come before time with my family and I hope you can all understand that.
My family have been incredible. The support I receive from my Mum and Dad is second to none, I’m so grateful to be blessed with such amazing parents. Jacob is just a dream, I don’t make it easy for him when I work every hour under the sun and cancel plans to pick up more hours. We went a whole day last week without speaking once because I didn’t have a minute to even text or call but he continues to love and support me. Doing this kind of job makes you appreciate everything and everyone that you have around you. I’m so lucky to have my family, I will never take them for granted.
My diet has become appalling since I started working. I’ve always had an up and down relationship with fitness and eating healthy, it’s never been straightforward but it’s gone out of the window since I started this job. I eat what I can when I can, I drink too much fizzy pop and not enough water but it isn’t a priority at the moment. My fitness levels are decent I’d say as I’m getting used to pushing wheelchairs and doing lots of walking but I’d love to be able to get back in the gym one day, anxiety dependent.
Tattoos! You may have read my post here about my first tattoo but just less than a month ago I got my first tattoo! If you don’t follow me on any of my social medias (links are all below!!) you probably won’t know that since then I’ve got my second! This one is space themed and I am in love with it, I love it more every time that I look at it. I got this one matching with Jacob who got a similar but different one, I love them so much. I’m well and truly addicted, I can’t wait to get more and I’m slowly building up a little sleeve.
I sat down last week and wrote a list of content that I want to put out on my blog, including all of my ideas and inspo for posts. Hopefully you’ll be getting some more posts now that I know what I want to put out for you all. I’ve got some beauty content, some more chatty life content like this and lots of reviews/first impressions!
Brucey turned 1! My little bunny is now a one year old rabbit. You may have seen the little photoshoot on Instagram which lots of you loved, he is such a little cutie and LOVES the camera haha!
We also celebrated the imminent arrival of my little nephew with a baby shower for my gorgeous big sister! It was absolutely perfect and so well deserved, I can’t wait to fall in love with my little nephew and shower him in love and cuddles forever and ever.
You musst have seen the revamped Glamour magazine last month. Glamour has now become a bi-annual beauty book/magazine. I am so impressed by the revamp and thought the first issue was amazing and absolutely LOVED it. I cannot wait for the next one, they’re perfect to read in a bubble bath to relax.
Garnier Skin Naturals 2 in 1 Eye Makeup Remover
I’ve been suffering with quite sensitive eye areas, it’s like some kind of mild eczema which flares up when I remove eye makeup. It only affects application of eye shadow if I’ve removed it the day before as it was the removal that was flaring it up not the application. So I invested in a pound bottle of this Garnier remover and it has worked wonders it is so gentle on the eyes and helps to remove waterproof mascara without any scrubbing or pulling, it makes it so much easier and I can’t recommend it enough if you seem to be suffering with the same as me.
Biore Charcoal Cleanser
My skin isn’t the best at the moment which I’m putting down to poor diet and sleeping in my makeup once or twice (forgive me pls!?). So I picked this cleanser up in Tesco (you all know how much I love my cleansers!) as I am completely involved in the whole charcoal hype. I really love this product and I feel like it has made a difference to my skin, nothing revolutionary but I feel like it really does clean out my pores and make my skin fresh and clean.
Imperial Leather Bubble Baths
I am a lover of bubble baths, whenever I have the evening off I schedule in a bubble bath as there’s nothing I enjoy more. The thing that has been enhancing my love of bubble baths more than Imperial Leather Bath Creams, the scents that they have are incredible my favourites are Foamy Bananas and Marshmallow- I am OBSESSED! They’re only like £1 which is insane!
This is a bit of a weird one really but I’ve been loving Instagram so much recently. I had a bit of change which you can read about here which has completely changed how I use the app and the content that I put out. I’ve fallen back in love with the app, although my follow count is on a fast decline I still love posting on there and I get more feedback from it than ever before. I’d love if you could click the link to my Insta at the bottom of this post and let me know what you think!
I am currently living in checked shirts. I don’t wear a uniform for work but I still like to have certain things that I only wear for work and things I wear when I’m off. Checked shirts are my favourite thing to wear for work, I tend to wear them open with a t shirt underneath. I now have three, this green one is my favourite, it was only £5 in the sale in Primark!
Thank you so much for reading, I really hope you enjoyed it and keep your eye out for my future posts! Also we hit 1,300 followers on my blog last week which is absolutely insane and I cannot thank you enough for the support and for following my little blog.
